To improve performance, availability, and scalability, Georgian College uses Oracle 11g Grid

In an effort to upgrade to a clusterd environment and modernize IT, Georgian College beefed up with Oracle 11g and RAC—helping Georgian College improve the performance, availability, and scalability of its Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise applications. The college deployed a four-node (Dell M600s with Dual X5450 4-core Xeon Processors and 64 GB RAM ) Oracle database cluster on industry-standard Linux enterprise applications used by students, faculty, and administration; a mixture of about 40,000 full-time and part-time students and staff.
